Nakee Coat

Today Traysen was taking a bath. When I got him out I used a bathrobe instead of a towel. I asked him if he liked the towel and he said no towel nakee coat. Hopefully he doesn't grow up to be a streaker with a nakee coat.

I'm Back

Hopefully I will remember to update this a little more frequently. We have had a lot happen lately.
Terence broke his jaw playing "non contact" flag football on Thanksgiving day. He had to have his jaw wired shut for 6 weeks. He then broke his ankle 3 days after he got his wires off. He is finally back to normal and we are all praying that he will stay healthy now.
Ahlea Turned 9 in October. She is in third grade and loving it. They have been learning cursive writing and multiplication. She had now decided that dresses and skirts are the only clothing that she wants to wear. She informed me the other day that she is almost 13. I hope she doesn't grow up that fast.
Ethan is almost 7! He is in first grade and reading everything he can. He is still obsessed with sports! He is the ball boy for Terence's basketball team. He loves going to the games and hangin out with the big kids.
Traysen is now 2. It is hard to believe that time has gone by that fast. He has become a very busy child. He talks up a storm. he hit his chin on the ledge of the stairs and had to get stitches this week. He was so well behaved. He did not cry once at the hospital. He laid there patiently while they stitched him up.

Bark!!!!

So we have been doing a lot of yard work lately. Our front yard is looking great. We got a lot of bark and covered all of the planter. Traysen was outside this morning with Grandma Smith. He kept pointing at the planters and saying "ruff, ruff, ruff". Grandma looked at him and said no that's BARK! What a funny boy. He knew we what he was talking about.

Ice Cream and Laughter!

The other day we were all at Grandma Smith;s house eating Fat Boy ice cream bars. Ethan was downstairs when we got them out so he didn't have won. He came upstairs and saw all of us with ice cream and he says "Hey why don't I get a fat kid? Where are the fat kids? Can I have a fat kid?" He is such a funny kid.

The Star-Spangled Banner

At Ahlea and Ethan's school, every mornig the say The Pledge of Allegiance and sing our national anthem. They love to sing this all over the house. We had a reunion over Memorial Day and Grandpa Smith asked me and the kids to sing this at the reunion. Ahlea stood up there with us, but was to affraid to sing. Ethan on the other had held the microphone and belted out the most wonderful rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner. He did an amazing job. I am thankful for this great nation that we live in and for the great school district we live in that gives them the opportunity to learn such a great song.
